CODE OF CONDUCT

At Kids Run This Town, we are committed to maintaining a positive and respectful environment for all participants, parents, coaches, officials, and spectators. Our Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for player behavior, parent conduct, and sportsmanship standards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

 

Player Behavior:

  1. Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators with respect and courtesy at all times.

  2. Follow the rules and regulations of the sport and adhere to the instructions and decisions of coaches and officials.

  3. Display good sportsmanship by accepting both victory and defeat graciously, and avoid taunting, trash-talking, or unsportsmanlike behavior.

  4. Strive for excellence and give your best effort in practices and games, demonstrating commitment, dedication, and teamwork.

  5. Refrain from engaging in any form of bullying, harassment, discrimination, or violence, on or off the field.

Parent Conduct:

  1. Support your child's participation in sports by encouraging them positively and providing constructive feedback.

  2. Respect the authority and decisions of coaches and officials, refraining from criticizing or arguing with them during practices or games.

  3. Serve as positive role models for your child by displaying good sportsmanship, respect for opponents, and appreciation for fair play.

  4. Avoid interfering with the coaching process or undermining the authority of coaches by offering unsolicited advice or instructions to players.

  5. Communicate with program administrators, coaches, and other parents in a respectful and constructive manner, addressing concerns or grievances through appropriate channels

 

Sportsmanship Standards:

  1. Show respect for opponents by congratulating them on their achievements and demonstrating humility in victory.

  2. Refrain from engaging in verbal or physical altercations with opponents, coaches, or spectators, and seek peaceful resolution to conflicts.

  3. Cheer for your team enthusiastically and supportively, but refrain from derogatory remarks or negative chants directed at opposing teams or players.

  4. Appreciate the efforts and contributions of all participants, regardless of skill level or outcome, and celebrate the spirit of fair play and camaraderie.

  5. Uphold the values of integrity, honesty, and fair play in all interactions and decisions, both on and off the field.

  6. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, we can create a positive and inclusive environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of youth sports while promoting respect, sportsmanship, and personal growth. Together, we can foster a community of athletes who embody the values of excellence, integrity, and teamwork.
